looking forward to 2016 & recap of 2015

guys! seven days into this new year and i could NOT be more excited to see what is in store for me in my professional journey. i feel like a little kid on this adventure and i am so grateful that i get to do what i love every. single. day.

some may know this while others may not, but a couple months ago, i elected to take a pretty big leap of faith and dive head first into my career as a professional photographer/videographer. it seems to be the right choice as i've literally never been happier in my life. the extent to which i am able to use my creativity day in and day out is so satisfying to me, i cannot even begin to put it into words... it's like it was stifled for so long and it's finally being set free!! so look out, world! me and my crazy ideas are comin' for ya! ;)

that being said, i had to go back and take a look at all of the things i accomplished in 2015 - and there were a LOT of them! i went through and compiled a small gallery from the weddings that i had the honor and privilege of working with this past season. and i only went through the photos! this collection doesn't even count the couples for which i made wedding videos. there were also a sizable number of those!!

i am literally amazed at the progress that my dream has made in just one calendar year. i owe so many thanks to so many people that have helped make this dream a reality. it's like, one morning i woke up and thought to myself (in a sarcastic tone), "self, wouldn't it just be so awesome if one day you could be a full-time photographer and stuff?!" and then the next morning i woke up and it was so....

enjoy this little gallery i put together from my Best of 2015! :) (i had the hardest time doing this in less than 100 images..... there were so many amazing people i worked with this year!!!)

this photo actually got the MOST attention on social media, reaching over 2,500 people! it garnered a TON of love!! all because i thought it would be a cool idea to turn a kid upside down :)
