new horizons and adventures!

it pains me to go four months without adding a single post, but sometimes that happens, i suppose.

i'm hoping that in the coming months, i will be able to blog more as i shift focus from graphic design to photography. i've actually chosen to leave my corporate job in pursuit of this photography dream of mine... so with that said, it brings a HUGE smile to my face to be able to share the following:

sarah faith images now offers printing and design work!!! that's right, believe it.
you can now look to me for your baby announcements, save the dates, wedding invitations, and more!
i'm PUMPED about being able to offer this service to you all, so take advantage of it!

also, since i haven't shown any progress at all in the past five-ish months.... here's the short version of what i've been working on lately!

i've photographed about 15 weddings, broadened my range of skill to also include wedding videography (seven weddings), documented the birth of a child, helped commemorate the early stages of life of three additional babies, shot families, maternities, a high school pom team, and made some photo memories with the family for which i used to nanny. it's been a busy five months!!

i've been learning new lighting techniques, new pose ideas, and new ways to make your photos more personal and unique. i've been improving my artistic eye and am hoping to grow this little photography baby a whole bunch!!

it's easy to pour this much love into something i'm so passionate about. i'm looking forward to my next projects and challenges - bring them all on!

ashley | 3.29.15

it's the newest realtor in town, ladies and gents! she has been extremely helpful in our house hunt process and now, she's got a real estate license of her own. when she asked me if i would do her head shots, i was eager to help her out and get her started off on the right foot.

sure, maybe it was a little windy, but we got through it, didn't we? thanks for making my job so easy, ashley - stand and pose.... stand over here and pose... perfection!!

lucci | 3.22.15

i cannot say enough about this little beauty. a friend asked me if i would be interested in doing head shots for his niece - a very talented dancer with the desire to become a model. when i met lucci, i was so impressed with her! she's an absolute natural in front of a camera and such a beautiful dancer! admittedly, some of the poses she was able to pull off made my body hurt, but it sure did make for some amazing shots... enjoy!

definitely looking forward to more photo ops with this little one and her family, that's for sure!!

water works | 3.10.15

honestly, sometimes i'm just walking the dog and i see something... this was totally the case yesterday. coop and i were out for his afternoon stroll and i happened to see water falling off the car port in my apartment complex. if i looked at the drops just right, the sun made them look like little specks of gold falling to the ground... so i did what any other person would do (well.... maybe not...) and i ran inside, unhooked the dog from all of his apparatuses and grabbed my camera!!

i didn't know if i would be able to capture what i had seen... or even get anything convincingly interesting at all... but i was very VERY surprised.... these images will likely be displayed in my house in the very near future.

enjoy!

i love the way the trees are reflected upside down inside the water in this one...
