sarah and j.p. are having a baby!

these two are adding a little one! i met sarah and j.p. by referral of a friend, and i'm so happy to have had the chance to work with them! first of all, j.p. picked out all of the attire for the couple and did an impeccable job - i must give credit where credit is due! also, this is one of the easiest shoots i've ever done! both were so happy and excited for their little one and so in love! i happen to think they are going to make one heck of a parenting duo!

i swear they were models in a past life... so many of these poses just "happened" without any effort whatsoever! i cannot count how many times i just said, "okay, freeze... that's adorable..." 

i can't wait to work with these two more in the future!!

all the vintage!

a friend asked me to capture the beauty of her mother's wedding dress... of course i will! this thing had the most gorgeous train ever! the detail on this dress was unbelievable. the dress combined with some fall sunlight came out so awesome!

shutter speed extravaganza

guys! look what you can do with a crummy tripod, some patience and a wide open shutter! 

this was just something i decided to do one night... it was kinda scary at points, but the things i'll do for some good art... i tell ya!

jude turns one!

look at who turned one! i consider myself extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to photograph this beautiful boy multiple times - since even before he was alive! though the wind was a bit chilly coming off the lake and mr. jude wasn't completely thrilled with being in front of the camera, we were still able to get him to cheer up for a couple good shots! 

congrats, little dude! you're one! :)

i must pause to say that this is my very first silhouette that i have loved... i'm fascinated by silhouettes to the max, and i was SO HAPPY to be able to grab one of my own. 

tobias and family | literally, the whole family.

for my third adventure with the Tobias family, i met the rest of the clan! this family was so much fun to work with and i grew so much as a photographer just by shooting this group. what a wonderful group of people! 

and yes, it was difficult to get the young siblings, hannah and luke, to pose nicely together, but it was worth the work!
